Evan Hunt
I have enjoyed the magic of photography for many years; however seldom found the time to make it a priority. Having recently retired, I have picked up my camera again with renewed purpose and passion.
Photography invites me to be more curious and to participate in the world without consuming it. It’s an expression of my faith journey, holding freedom and hope despite life’s requisite challenges and obstacles. It’s the sacred experience of sitting in the world, rejoicing and relaxing in it with gratitude, and watching with patience for a moment of light, movement, or colour. The photograph that results is not about seeking to produce something material, but rather is the evidence of the life lived, the memories made, and the places visited. And it's these images, these memories, I offer to visitors on this site, so that you too can embrace the beauty that surrounds us.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the images here, please get in touch. They are available in a variety of sizes, either as bare prints or matted. We are happy to discuss options with you. Some of the images are also available at The Empire Café (Kumara) and the Leftbank Art Gallery (Greymouth) in both greeting card and wall art options.
